26/10/07 - Recording for the album is done! A sigh of relief could be heard throughout the Gasoline camp last Saturday as we put the (hopefully) finishing touches on the soon to be released CD. There looks to be from 10 to 14 songs on the release, but we'll confirm that as soon as everything comes back from the mixer. Unfortunately, it does not look as though the CD will get a release before the end of the year as previously planned. Oh well, that will give everyone something to look forward to after the holiday season!

21/10/07 - Gasoline to appear on 102,4 FM Radio Alfa's Sunday morning programme - Expat Radio! Tune in if you are around the Kraków area!

14/08/07 - We head back to the rehearsal space this weekend to continue work on the new songs and get gigs together for the next few months. Batteries are recharged after a long summer break, but we're itching to get back to work and on stage again. Keep your eyes peeled for the four song demo we'll be throwing about in limited numbers (wonderfully mixed by Michał Fojcik from PopAnt), and we'll see you all real soon!

07/05/07 - We hope everyone has had a nice break round here in Poland, and thanks to everyone that came to the concert at Giraffe this past Friday and to Harris the week before. We are preparing ourselves for a bit of summer holidays and taking a break to do some writing and recording, but we are trying to set up some surprises before we take time off. Don't worry ... you'll be the first to hear about it! We would also like to say "Hello!" and "Thanks!" to all those we met in Olomouc, Czech Republic this past week, and our undying gratitude goes out to Poet's Corner Hostel (Greg, Francie, Karen, etc.) for putting us up and showing us thier hospitality for the May Day celebrations there. You guys rock!

17/04/07 - News Release:

Gasoline to play concert at Harris

Gasoline will play at Harris Piano Jazz Bar April 27 at 21:00.

Gasoline is a local Krakow band comprised of members from the U.S. And Britain. They play a brand of rock music in which raw expression is the driving force. Drawing on elements of American folk and country music as well as avante-garde noise acts, Gasoline's influences range from Johnny Cash through Bob Dylan and Neil Young to The Velvet Underground.

They formed in 2002 and played the bar scene for several years. In 2006, after significant lineup changes, they decided to focus their efforts on developing the original material of songwriter Greg Nieuwsma, the band's singer and guitarist. Members of the new lineup have also brought substantial contributions to the table and the band now writes as a group as well. They are currently recording their first record.

Members of the current lineup, who have cooperated with the likes of Sheryl Crow, The Righteous Brothers, Jamiroquai, Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Mark Olson (Jayhawks), and many local artists, include:

Greg Nieuwsma: vocal, guitar
Mark Aldridge: drums and percussion
Casey Crosby: keyboards, backing vocals
Andy Brownlee: guitar, backing vocals
Ian Transue: bass, backing vocal

Gasoline's music can be heard at www.myspace.com/gasolinerock.

Their website (www.gasolinerock.com) is under development.

11/04/07 - We'd like to invite everyone over to our MySpace site (www.myspace.com/gasolinerock) to have a listen to two more songs we added - 'Daydreamer (Take It from Me)' and 'Onan's Blues'. Recorded at the same time as the other tracks, but mixed by us personally. OK ... we are still learning the ropes of mixing, but at least the songs are starting to sound dirty ... the way we like 'em! Keep an ear out, because we plan on doing the same to 'Alaska', 'Blind Man' and the other tracks we recorded back in December.

30/03/07 - Hey, we really appreciate everyone being at the Harris show last night! The place was packed! Special thanks to two of the lovely ladies from Bloody Mary that started the night for us. A good sign of things, too, was that three people in the front row had their hands over their ears due to the volume! NOW THAT'S ROCK 'N ROLL when you make ears bleed!
Hope to see everyone again at the next show at Harris at the end of April!
